Deadtronica Interview by NoRulezChris

This duo comes by way of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Austin, Texas. They combine Grateful Dead songs with electronic music. I spoke with Cloudchord of Deadtronica. By NoRulezChris

1. You have an upcoming show at Meow Wolf in Denver. What can fans expect to hear?

Our sound takes the Grateful Dead and rewires it for the dancefloor. Imagine if Daft Punk played the Dead, but also freely jammed on their instruments. Since Aron played with several members of the Grateful Dead, we do this in a way that greatly respects the original ethos of the Band.

2. What do you enjoy the most about being in Colorado?

Mountains, music, and open minds.

3. What bands/artists have you been listeing to lately?

A lot of the Dead of course. For more modern things, Vulfpeck is pretty fun. So is the new Thundercat.

4. What is the most rewarding part of performing live?

The unexpected. This usually translates to a level of spontaneity between us two onstage, and the crowd. It’s a beautiful biofeedback loop!

First ever tour of DaBaby TEASER
I’m feeling fear as I think about writing my experiences with one of the world’s most famous current hip hop stars. After all, I booked his first tour and traveled with DaBaby performing as Dee Tha Don. The realization of the paths crossed and created pound on my head as if a miner discovered Gold in an old mine buried just beneath his grasp. He knows there is Gold if he digs but the ground beneath is solid plus everybody knows old mines are haunted. Would encountering old spirits be kindred or ambiguous? Would this old mine collapse and trap me or even lead to my death? Now, is not the time for loose lips but only spot on neutral truth. By NoRulezChris

Tragedy Interview by NoRulezChris

This Metal Tribute band to the Bee Gees and Beyond is from not from Memphis Tennessee but rather from New York, if you can’t tell by the size of their balls. Tragedy the metal band dwells on Beautyrock Records. I spoke with Tragedy member Mo’Royce Peterson, who handles lead vocals and lead Guitar. Tragedy was on Napalm Records. By NoRulezChris

1. You have an upcoming show at Bluebird Theater in Denver. What can fans expect to hear?

Fans will hear the glorious sounds of disco-metal. Your sometimes beloved, sometimes reviled, disco and soft-rock classics are transformed into hot, sexy, heavy metal. All performed by a group of handsome men in spandex and glitter. And a talentless, pointless Towelboy named Lance.

2. What do you enjoy the most about being in Colorado?

The butts. Best buttocks in North America. The mountains are pretty cool too.

3. What bands / artists have you been listening to lately?

Tragedy has 10 albums out, so I pretty much just stream those top to bottom every day. Also Electric Six, Heart, Van Halen, and the Carpenters.

4. What is the most rewarding part of performing live?

The experience of collective joy at a show is unlike anything else. We help you through your doubts and inhibitions. And you give us your smiles and buoyant spirit.

5. What is your favorite Bee Gees album?

Cucumber Castle. But only because of the awesome title.

6. What do you enjoy most about Memphis, Tennessee?

I’ve never been there. But I hear they have nice butts.

7. What are some of your favorite bands you have shared the stage with?

Electric 6, Nanowar of Steel, Steel Panther, Ward XVI, Motorhead, Psychostick, Crobot.

8. What are you most excited about for touring the United Kingdom?

The butts. We have the craziest fans there – so many true believers – and Tragedy tattoos.

9. Is Lance really more than just a towel boy?

Yes. He’s also an idiot.

10. Any parting words you would like to say?

Wait! I don’t want to leave yet! I’m having such a good time!
